Celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth with Sir John Eliot Gardiner, the Monteverdi Choir, the Chamber Choir of the Palau de la Musica, and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique. Sir John concludes his complete cycle of Beethoven's Symphonies at the Palau de la Musica with the Eighth and Ninth.

The lighthearted, but complex Eighth Symphony is frequently overshadowed by the iconic works that bracket it, but is always an audience favorite. The massive Ninth Symphony, with its choral exhortation to peace, joy and brotherhood among men, remains one of the most uplifting and inspirational works in the entire classical canon.
