Serse: Komische Oper Berlin
About the Event
Experience a production praised by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung as a 'theatrical miracle', at the Komische Oper Berlin: The critically acclaimed Norwegian director, Stefan Herheim, interprets Händel's Serse.
First performed in 1738, Handel's Serse revolves around the typical love difficulties of Baroque opera. Serse is an astonishingly modern‐seeming masterpiece which begins with a touching declaration of love for a plane tree that is one of the most famous pieces in musical history.
In German, with English, German, French, and Turkish subtitles.
