Satyagraha: Komische Oper Berlin

About the Event

In his opera, Philip Glass picks up the notion of peaceful resistance and 'insistence on the truth' by connecting the life of Mahatma Gandhi to that of Leo Tolstoy, Rabindranath Tagore and Martin Luther King -- and to the social conflicts of the 20th century.

Flemish‐Moroccan dancer and choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui brings Glass's masterwork to the stage of the Komische Oper.
