Less often performed in the opera houses of the world than Handel or Monteverdi, Rameau's Castor et Pollux and Platée nontheless contain several musical gems. Handel's Secular cantata 'The Delirium of Love' continues the mythological theme, telling the story of the Arcadian lovers, Chloris and Thyrsis.
