Listen to works by Igor Stravinsky at this evening at the Konzerthaus with the famous Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. During the week 'Absolut Strawinsky!' our honorary conductor Iván Fischer will be a guest with three orchestras close to him. The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra has arrived from Amsterdam for the second concert.
The programme begins with the Concerto in D for String Orchestra, which was later used several times for choreographies. The soloist of the elegant, virtuoso Capriccio for piano and orchestra is the American pianist Emanuel Ax. The suite from the ballet 'Petrushka' marks the furious conclusion of the concert evening.
