Rising Stars: Violist Ellen Nisbeth

Discover the delights of the repertoire for solo viola. Swedish soloist Ellen Nisbeth presents a program with a literary bent as part of the European Concert Hall Organization's 'Rising Stars' series.

Accompanied by veteran pianist Bengt Forsberg, Nisbet plays her own transcriptions of Vaughan Williams' settings of Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Songs of Travel' alongside works by Britten, Schumann and Schubert. Rounding out the program is a new work by Swedish composer, Katarina Leyman, commissioned by ECHO for this recital tour.
