Celebrate the acclaimed Italian conductor's return to the Konserthuset as he leads the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic in Schubert's 'Tragic' Symphony, and Brahms' lyrical Second Symphony.

One of only two symphonies Schubert composed in a minor key, the reason for the 'Tragic' appellation — added by the composer after the work's completion, at a mere 19 years of age — remains unknown. By contrast, Brahms' Second Symphony finds its composer in bucolic, even slightly mischievous, mood, and the work's pastoral charms have made it as much an audience favorite as Muti himself.
