Ravel's L'Heure espagnole and Puccini's Gianni Schicchi: Opéra National de Paris

About the Event

Experience the wit of two short operas at the Opéra Bastille for an evening immersed in commedia dell’arte: Ravel's L’Heure espagnole and Puccini's Gianni Schicchi directed by Laurent Pelly.

Pelly's eccentric direction combined with the overloaded and hilarious set offer the perfect environment to tell the stories of Ravel's Torquemada facing his unfaithful wife and Puccini's master of forgery Gianni Schicchi willing to do anything to become rich.
