Rachmaninoff's The Bells: Orchestre de Paris

About the Event

Italian conductor Gianandrea Noseda leads the Orchestre de Paris, the choir of the Orchestre de Paris, and exceptionally talented soloists in this journey through works by Casella, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff.

Casella's rarely performed La Donna Serpente opens the program this evening, followed by Debussy's three 'Images pour orchestre' which recall the beauty of the Spanish landscape. The highlight of the evening is expected to be Rachmaninoff's choral symphony 'The Bells' which was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's homonymous poem.
