Prague Proms Festival 2019: Canadian Brass
About the Event
Canadian Brass was set up 40 years ago by Chuck Deallenbach and Gene Watts. Performances stand out for their ability to interact with audiences, their shows interwoven with live dialogues and theatrical effects. Virtuosity, spontaneity and playfulness are hallmarks of their concerts, though music is at the forefront of all of this.
With a collection of more than 130 released albums and large scale worldwide concert tours, Canadian brass are pioneers in building a thirst for brass music among a wider audience. Accolades include frequent appearances on television screens performing in a range of shows, as well as recording the soundtrack to The Couch Trip (1988) starring Dan Aykroyd and Walter Matthau.
