Polo de Haas: Bass Concert

About the Event

Pianist Polo de Haas presents a program for musicians who play instruments in the lowest range of the sound spectrum. As a contrasting sound the ensemble will be joined by overtone singer Borg Diem Groeneveld.

Leo Oostrom plays a composition by Argentine composer Horacio Vaggione for bass sax and electronics, Tjeerd Oostendorp improvises on his tube and Matthijs Koene plays the wonderous bass flute. After the intermission the public can enjoy the beloved Hungarian Dances by Brahms, arranged for six bassists.
