Experience works for piano trio by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and Ravel in the beautiful Salle Gaveau in Paris.
It is difficult to imagine scores more dissimilar than these three masterpieces of the piano trio. Tchaikovsky created a vast and melancholic fresco (his nickname 'In Memory of a Great Artist' refers to Nikolai Rubinstein, who died shortly before), while Ravel showed absolute perfection in his writing and Shostakovich proposed a miniature of superb density. Three immense musicians are gathered here, who will do justice to these essential works of chamber music.
