About the Event

Countertenor Philippe Jaroussky and soprano Anna Prohaska will sing Pergolesi's beautiful 'Stabat Mater' along with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under the baton of Nathalie Stutzmann. The piece, perhaps the composer's most popular sacred works, was finished not long before the composer's death in 1736.

The Konzerthausorchester will also perform Schubert's Symphony No. 4, called "Tragic". Although this work was composed early in the composer's career, when he was nineteen years old, it was not premiered until long after his death.
