Pelléas and Mélisande: Komische Oper Berlin

About the Event

Barrie Kosky takes another look into the dark abyss of the human soul in this new production of Debussy's dramatic opera. Nadja Mchantaf, who has been an audience favorite in Cendrillon, returns to the stage of the Komische Oper as Mélisande opposite Dominik Köninger's Pelléas.

Debussy's music to the play by Maurice Maeterlinck captures every ambiguous current of the source material, making it into a musical chamber play.
