Jacques Offenbach
Musikalische Menschenfresserei in einem Akt [1855] /
Operetta in one act [1861]
Libretto by Jules Moinaux / Libretto by Hector Crémieux and Ludovic Halévy

After the success of the concert jazz operettas at Christmas time, the Komische Oper Berlin is opening a new chapter — more precisely, the first ever chapter of operetta: the fiery pen of Jacques Offenbach, the forefather of modern operetta, now takes centre stage! The two one‐act operettas Oyayaye and Fortunio's Song are the prelude. Although they could hardly be more different, they are firmly in the hands of acting legend Burghart Klaußner, who leads through the evening as Fortunio himself.
