Oslo Opera House
Oslo, Norway
Home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, Oslo Opera House opened its doors in 2008. The spectacular monument in marble, oak, and aluminum was designed by the architectural firm Snøhetta. Rising from the banks of Oslo Fjord, the slanted roof of the Oslo Opera House creates a public space on the waterfront, while sheltering one of Europe's finest examples of contemporary concert hall architecture.
