Orchestre Helios: Saint Germain des Prés Church

About the Event

Enjoy a marvellous concert with the Hélios Orchestra at the Saint Germain des Prés Church in beautiful Paris.

Youth, ambition, eclecticism: the Helios orchestra's mission is to promote professional integration of young musicians through orchestral practice. Created by Paul Savalle, this orchestra allows young graduates, or those in the process of graduating, to improve their skills with experienced musicians and in optimal working conditions.

Founded in 2014, the Hélios orchestra has gradually established itself in the French orchestral landscape. It offers a wide range of programmes, from baroque to contemporary music. Its repertoire is both symphonic and choral, thanks to the involvement of the local choirs.

The string quintet played equisitely and the setting and acoustics were sublime. However, a number of pieces that were advertised on the posters we're not played which was a mystery. The audience in general were somewhat mystified

Excellent rendition of Vivaldi’s z »Gloria » and Concerto for Four Violins. The chorus was outstanding, the soloists magnificent, the ensemble perfectly coordinated and lead by a very apt conductor. The setting; sublime (eglise de Saint Germain de Près, Paris).
