Northern Lights: Pekka Kuusisto, Osmo Vänskä and the Orchestre de Paris

About the Event

The talented Finnish violinist Pekka Kuusisto joins forces with his fellow native, the conductor Osmo Vänskä, to perform a program dedicated to the works of Nordic composers.

The evening begins with Carl Nielsen's 'Overture Helios' which depicts the sunrise over the Aegean Sea, before turning to two works by Daniel Bjanarson and Sergei Prokofiev. Rachmaninoff's second Symphony will close the evening on a lyrical note.
