Lincoln Center Theater‐Vivian Beaumont

New York, USA

The Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center is New York’s only Broadway‐class theater not located within the Midtown Theater District. Managed by the Lincoln Center Theater since the 1980s, the Vivian Beaumont is also unique in being a not‐for‐profit organization.

Eero Saarinen’s Upper West Side structure, opened in 1965, actually contains three distinct theater spaces, and offers a program that combines large‐scale musical and dramatic productions with Off‐Broadway works, and pieces by emerging voices in the intimate rooftop theater opened in 2012. Notable premieres at the Vivian Beaumont include ‘Six Degrees of Separation’, and the first Broadway productions of ‘Arcadia’, ‘The Light in the Piazza’ and ‘War Horse’.
