National Orchestra of Belgium, Nelson Goerner and the Russians: Palais des Beaux‐Arts

About the Event

Argentinian pianist Nelson Goerner shares the stage with the National Orchestra of Belgium, under the direction of Hugh Wolff, for two concerts featuring works by Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Piet Swerts.

Each concert opens with a new work by Belgian composer Piet Swerts and concludes with Rachmaninoff's 'Symphonic Dances'. The virtuoso pianist, who won several prestigious competitions, will be the soloist for Prokofiev’s challenging Second Piano Concerto on the first evening, and for Chopin’s lyrical Second Piano Concerto at the second afternoon concert.
