The legend‐like piano virtuoso Murry Perahia has gained wide acclaim from Chinese audience. In this season, he will return to Shanghai with a piano recital. Although he already celebrated his 71st birthday, Perahia still works tirelessly, completing amazing achievements one after another. In 2016, his first recording under DG, Bach's French Suite, won a Gramophone prize. In 2018, he released another DG recording of Beethoven's 'Hammerklavier' sonata. Recently, Mr. Perahia embarked on an ambitious project to edit the complete Beethoven piano sonatas for the Henle Urtext Edition.
