The first North American to win the Leeds Piano Competition, Perahia has gone on to work with many of the greatest musicians of the century over his fifty‐year career. Multiple awards have greeted his recordings, often leading the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, of which he is Principal Guest Conductor, from the keyboard.
