Mozart and Gounod: An Exchange of Glances

About the Event

A sublime disguise or perhaps an unconscious exchange of glances: Patrick Fournillier proposes us a new musical game in which the two composers in the programme dialogue at a distance, almost imitating one another's world. A French Mozart, exquisitely Parisian in his bourgeois gallantry, seems to be answered by Charles Gounod, tutelary deity of the French nineteenth century, with a geometric and reassuring symphony as only the Viennese eighteenth century knew how to be.
