About the Event
Maxim Emelyanychev is a familiar face on avenue Montaigne. For several seasons now, he has been performing Handel with his Il Pomo d’Oro orchestra and top‐flight performers: Rodelinda, Serse, Agrippina with Joyce DiDonato, Max Emanuel Cenčić, Karina Gauvin, Marie‐Nicole Lemieux, and Franco Fagioli, to name but a few. This morning he is presenting a programme of Haydn and Mozart at the helm of his other orchestral formation, the Nizhny‐Novgorod Youth Symphony Orchestra. He is going back to his roots as he was born the son of a trumpeter father and vocalist mother in this town where the Volga meets the Oka. Music is clearly in his genes.
