About the Event
Hear Monteverdi's second opera about Ulisse's long journey home and triumphant recovery of his kingdom, with Emiliano Gonzalez Toro as Ulisse and Rihab Chaieb as Penelope, under the direction of Emiliano Gonzalez Toro.
In this opera, set by Monteverdi to a libretto by Giacomo Badoaro, gods and humans are intertwined in a combination of tragedy, tenderness, and even comedy.
