Messiaen's Turangalila: Tonkünstler Orchester & Yutaka Sado
About the Event
The Tonkünstler Orchestra and conductor Yutaka Sado open this year's season at the Wiener Musikverein with a hymn to music and love, Messiaen's 'Turangalîla' Symphony.
As one of the most popular works of the 20th century, the symphony premiered in 1949 in Boston under the baton of Leonard Bernstein, the lodestar of this year's season with the Tonkünstler Orchestra.
