Mendelsson, Golijov, Janácek: Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin

About the Event

Avant‐garde hides within tradition — the Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin presents works by Bartholdy, Golijov, Janacek, and by the clarinetist David Orlowsky in their final season concert in the Berlin Philharmonie.

Fourteen‐year‐old Felix Mendelssohn‐Bartholdy composed his final String Symphony in the spirit of Mozart – skillful and ingenious. The tradition of Jewish mysticism in conjunction with traditional Klezmer sound transcends Osvaldo Golijov, led by the colorful song of the clarinet. The virtuoso, acclaimed clarinetist David Orlovsky, will join the DKB as soloist and composer, presenting his “Three Pieces“.
