Ligeti's Lontano harks back to elusive dreams of childhood, while Pascal Dusapin's concerto for Violin and Cello 'At Swim‐Two‐Birds' takes its name from Irish writer Flann O'Brien's extraordinary eponymous work. Concluding the evening, Thomas Larcher’s Symphony No 2, 'Cenotaph' brings new life to the symphonic form.
