Join the revolution! Marc Minkowski conducts the Musiciens du Louvre and a cast of fast‐rising young stars in a concert performance of the work that anchored Gluck's reinvention of French Baroque music.
Taking the libretto written a century earlier for Lully, Gluck courted controversy with both his dramatic and musical interpretations of the tale of the sorceress, the sleeping knight and the triumph of good over evil. French mezzo soprano Gaëlle Arquez sings the title role, with other young French talents such as Florian Sempey and Stanislas De Barbeyrac completing the cast.
