Discover Liszt's little‐known Choral output. The Chorus of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna sing a selection of these intensely religious works, mostly composed in Liszt's maturity, in the period after he took holy orders in Rome.

Interspersed with works for piano — the genre in which Liszt is best known, played by Stefano Malferrari — this concert in Bologna's beautiful baroque Oratorio di San Filippo Neri offers a rare perspective on the inner life of this most extrovert of Romantics.
