About the Event
On the one hand, Russia, which looks at Europe and America and welcomes their twentieth‐century experiments on the other, the archaic Russia, linked to the folkloric world and the most popular tradition, in an extreme attempt to protect its identity from Western contamination: Claus Peter Flor, Music Director of laVerdi, takes the podium at the Auditorium in Milan to compare the two spirits of the Russian world through two great masterpieces by Rachmaninov and Musorgskij.
