Les Siècles & Bertrand Chamayou: Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées
Paris, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées — Main Hall
About the Event
A program of rediscovered works and collaborations with Bertrand Chamayou in the early twentieth century brings Ravel, Massenet, and Chabrier to life on period instruments. Les Siècles, with their deep love for early twentieth‐century French music, showcase the lesser‐known legacies of Massenet and Chabrier alongside Ravel's well‐known compositions. Chamayou's performance of Massenet's Piano Concerto, paired with Chabrier's Marche Joyeuse and España, will resonate beautifully with the orchestra's period instruments. Ravel's Valses nobles et sentimentales sets the stage for Ma Mère l'Oye in the second half, where Grégoire Pont's live illustrations bring Ravel's masterpiece to life.
Program:
- Massenet: Piano Concerto
- Chabrier: España, Joyeuse marche
- Ravel: Ma Mère l’Oye, Valses nobles et sentimentales
