From the exuberance of Mozart's 'Larghetto and Allegro for Two Pianos' to Stravinsky in both neoclassical and primal modes, this is a program of immense energy. Debussy's En blanc et noir suite maintains the prevailing mood, despite a somber second movement, beginning with an energetic waltz, and concluding with a lively Scherzando.
