Le Corsaire, by Kader Belarbi: Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées

About the Event

Choreographer Kader Belarbi offers his version of the ballet, 'Le Corsaire', inspired by Lord Byron's poem, at the Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées.

The first version of 'Le Corsaire' had its premiere in 1856 at the Paris Opera with a choreography by Joseph Mazilier, on Adolphe Adam's music. Belarbi created a new version of this exotic and romantic work in 2013, reorganizing the choreographic tableaux. The music was also rearranged by conductor David Coleman.
