Follow the tragic story of Violetta, one of the most famous heroines in opera, played by Marina Rebeka and Anna Netrebko in this production by French director Benoît Jacquot. Plácido Domingo will sing as Giorgio Germont for three evenings in February.
The ultimate romantic drama in opera history, La Traviata unravels the destiny of a fallen woman tormented by love and morality until the end of her life. Inspired by many pieces, Benoît Jacquot especially took inspiration from Édouard Manet's famous painting, Olympia, which also created a scandal when first shown.
