L'Invisibile: Deutsche Oper Berlin
About the Event
Composer and librettist Aribert Reimann returns to the Deutsche Oper Berlin with a lyrical trilogy discussing the inescapability of death.
For his new opera, Reimann draws on three works by dramatist Maurice Maeterlinck. He creates a world of both dream and nightmare, bourgeois salon and fairy tale castle, while his characters try to escape their fears and helplessness through petty conversations.
The Russian director Vasily Barkhatov will bring Reimann's opera to life at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
