Konzerthausorchester Berlin and Nathalie Stutzmann: Konzerthaus Berlin

About the Event

Relish the musicality and expertise of contralto‐turned‐conductor Nathalie Stutzmann as she leads the Konzerthaus Orchestra in Mozart, Brahms, and Mendelssohn.

Mendelssohn's magical overture for 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' begins proceedings, before Stutzmann turns to more serious matters. Brahms' First Symphony and Mozart's 'Great' G minor symphony may not, at first glance, have much in common, but Brahms so admired his predecessor's work that he acquired the manuscript scores of both versions, eventually donating them to Vienna's Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde.
