Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Philippe Herreweghe: Dvořák´s Requiem at Philharmonie Berlin

About the Event

Experience Dvořáks highly romantic Requiem, which explores all religious movements between devotion and distress with its rousing tones. As part of the Musikfest Berlin, the Konzerthausorchester, together with the Collegium Vocale Gent and its founder and conductor Philippe Herreweghe, will be performing at the Philharmonie._

The Collegium Vocale Gent has been dedicated to baroque performance practice in the vocal music sphere for almost 50 years — so the rhetorical approach is deeply rooted in its DNA. The transparent sound of the ensemble can also be heard when, as on this evening, it performs a work from a completely different era: Antonín Dvořáks highly romantic Requiem for soloists, choir and orchestra in B flat minor op. 89.
