Luxuriate in Brahms’ Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra, played by two of the world’s most exciting young talents. Vilde Frang and Nicolas Altstaedt combine their gifts to what promises to be phenomenal effect, under the baton of Juraj Valčuha.
Anton Webern’s ‘Passacaglia’ begins a program of intense works, while Richard Strauss’ tone‐poem ‘Death and Transfiguration’ brings the concert to a close in suitably metaphysical mood.
