Konzerthausorchester Berlin & Jonathan Cohen: Händel, Haydn and Mozart

About the Event

Indulge in a cascade of classicism with just a touch of the Baroque from Jonathan Cohen at the head of the Konzerthaus Orchestra, with fast‐rising star pianist Annika Treutler as their guest soloist.

Handel, Haydn, and Mozart, offer rich pickings for the orchestra, both with and without soloist. Haydn's 'Surprise' Symphony, one of the London‐inspired Opus 6 Concerto Grossi and the overture from Handel's 'Occasional Oratorio', alongside Mozart's incidental music for 'Thamos, King of Egypt' display the orchestra at its finest, while Haydn's Second Keyboard Concerto brings the focus to the acclaimed young pianist.
