Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin & Christoph Eschenbach: Cameron Carpenter

About the Event

Celebrate the many colors of the Organ. Acclaimed concert organst Cameron Carpenter – an artist far removed from the stereotypical image of an organist — plays Rachmaninov’s ‘Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini’ in his own arrangement, on the the digital touring organ he designed.

Works by Dvořák provide a frame for this intriguing proposition. The ‘Carnival’ Overture and the lyrical Eighth Symphony offer vivid aural pictures of a town at play, and an emerging Czech national identity.
