About the Event
A concert for friends of humor: The singer Angelika Kirchschlager and the satirist Alfred Dorfer, together with the pianist Julius Drake, give the format »Liederabend« a new look. With works such as Beethoven's 'Elegy on the Death of a Poodle' or 'How do I get in the door' by Johannes Brahms, this unusual evening in the Staatsoperette is about classic comedy — especially about the involuntary. Surely, the great mezzo‐soprano who appears on all stages of the world, with the acclaimed cabaret artist at her side, has a lot to tell. When one of the world's most renowned song accompanists sits at the piano, a successful fusion of first‐class chamber music and the best satire is guaranteed.
