Follow the story of the musical as an ambitious young actress, Ann Darrow, and skilful filmmaker, Carl Denham, travel from 1930s New York to Skull Island in order to catch something that the world has never seen before – 2,000 pounds and 20-storey tall gorilla. This is an exciting and emotional story of how one woman risks everything to save the magnificent creature, that is about to be captured and put on display to the New York masses
King Kong is set during the era of the Great Depression, with people who are filled with desperation but also hope. The backdrop – New York with recently completed Empire State Building.
