Relish the songs of Alma Mahler, Liszt, Wolf, and Brahms, as two of Sweden's most celebrated singers, mezzo‐soprano Katarina Karnéus and tenor Michael Weinius, join forces with renowned pianist Magnus Svensson for a concert of nineteenth century song.

Among the biggest personalities of turn‐of‐the‐century Vienna, Alma Mahler's compositional gifts were overshadowed by those of her more‐famous first husband, but her songs are now returning, deservedly, to the limelight. Other muses inspired Liszt's 'Three Sonnets of Petrarca', Wolf's 'Mörike Lieder', and Brahms' 'Ophelia Lieder', to give us three of the great cycles of classical song.
