Delight in the collected history of one of the world's longest‐established quartets. In its present iteration, the Juilliard Quartet combines youth and experience to devastating effect.

Haydn's ebullient 'Rider' Quartet begins an intriguing program, with Dvořák's Eleventh Quartet, written for the first named quartet in existence — the Hellmesberger Quartet — to follow. Bartók's arch‐form Fifth Quartet, with its eerie 'Nachtmusik' sections brings the concert to a close.
