As forensic doctor Boerne from Tatort Münster, whose assistant “Alberich” is forced to take the heat for his notorious love of Wagner, the actor lends his own personal touch to Loriot’s homage to Wagner. Important contributors to the undertaking are the Staatskapelle Weimar, an orchestra whose history includes close ties with Wagner’s circle, and several top‐class Wagner singers who bring the project to the concert stage with skill, playfulness, and plenty of wit.
