In the Night & Others by The Mariinsky Theatre Ballet: Festival Castell Peralada 2019

About the Event

Be carried away by the otherworldly grace of the extraordinary Mariinsky Ballet, as the company comes to Peralada for the first time. This legendary company, perhaps the greatest in the world, presents a triple bill of works choreographed to the music of Liszt and Chopin — a perfect symbiosis of Romanticism in the warm night air of Peralada's Castle Gardens Auditorium.

Fokine's 'Chopiniana', Robbins' 'In the Night', and Ashton's 'Marguerite and Armand' — as much as 'Mariinsky', these are magical names for balletomanes the world over. Each provides a perfect vehicle for the dancers of this iconic company to display the combination of technique and lyricism that has made the Mariinsky a hallmark of balletic excellence.
