Hungarian Folklore Performance, Dinner & Cruise

About the Event

Enjoy a very special evening with one of the best Hungarian Folk Ensembles in Budapest. Experience a performance by either the 'Hungarian State Folk Ensemble', the 'Danube Folk Ensemble' or the 'Rajkó Folk Ensemble'. After the great show, you are invited to a Dinner Cruise on the Danube, with traditional Hungarian and European style food!

The ensembles have a long tradition — founded in 1951, 1957 and 1952 — and perform all around the country and abroad. Each ensemble consists of 30 artists, and their choreographies are based on authentic dances. Some of them were collected in isolated villages and date back hundreds of years. Throughout the performances you will gain a broad impression of the music, dance and costume heritage of Hungarian culture.

With their very successful shows, the ensembles have been on tours throughout Hungary, Europe, North and South America, Australia and the Far East and have fascinated a large number of audiences.

On the cruise, you can enjoy the romantic atmosphere of Budapest and an excellent warm dinner buffet — prepared by world champion food sculptor Attila Tanács — surrounded by the illumination of the Danube metropolis. With romantic candle light you can celebrate a wonderful night in Budapest.

Meatballs in tomato sauce
Turkey cutlets with vegetables in parsley sauce
Csongrád style pork slices in garlic sauce

Corn salad in dill and yoghurt dressing

Drinks:
1 glass of red or white wine + 1 bottle of water (0,33) or soft drink


Hostesses will accompany you to the ship landing stage after the performance. The journey lasts ca. 90 minutes, and the ships are equipped with air‐conditioning.
