House Concert with Giuliano Carmignola: Italian Masters

About the Event

Travel all the way to Italy where the violin was born. Enjoy works by Porpora, Vivaldi, Tartini and others with the violinist Giuliano Carmignola and a continuo group consisting of harpsichord, lute and cello in the Konzerthaus Berlin.

In Italy, the instrument was reinvented, so to speak, in the Baroque period and the most coveted violins of today were created in the master workshops of Cremona. The fact that a completely new repertoire was also created for them is largely due to the composers represented in this concert, all of whom were among the most brilliant violin virtuosos of their time.
