Hilary Hahn's performances with a large orchestra regularly thrill the audience. The young American is one of the most accomplished violinists of our time. With Bach's sonatas and partitas for violin solo she will be performing on stage all by herself.

Bach's compositions, originally titled 'Sei Solo a Violino senza Basso accompagnato' by him, are the first works for violin as a solo instrument ever. The six pieces are something like the sanctum of violin literature and belong to the few baroque works for violin that almost all great violinists have dealt with.
